Obituary of MaryAnn Wehrle

Mary Ann Wehrle, age 73 of Rotonda West, FL, passed away with great dignity in Venice, FL on Thursday, February 1, 2024 due to complications from 40 years of Crohn’s disease. Her journey to the big Raphael festival in the sky was preceded by her Husband of 49 years, Skip (2020), Sisters Lucille Fox (Kalis) and Dolores Kalis, as well as sister-in-law Connie McGee.

Loving Mother of her active children…Rebecca Wehrle and Toby (Missy) Wehrle. Generous Grandmother of Cassidy and Moxey. Sister of Barb Kalis. Sister-In-Law of Carl (Vivian) Wehrle. Many awesome nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is also survived by her son Russ Wehrle and his Family as well as brother Harry Kalis.

She loved being by the swimming pool and found creative ways to save money while being unbelievably giving and thoughtful. Her retirement time was spent volunteering for meals-on-wheels, traveling, and minding her flowers and seasonal decorations.

She chose to donate her body to the University of Florida and when she contributes all she can, she will be cremated and buried with her husband Skip at the Sarasota National cemetery. There is no formal celebration of life at this time but raising a pint and smiling at a stranger would be honor enough. In lieu of flowers, we request you celebrate the effort our Mom gave in sending cards for every possible reason, by sending a few random cards of your own to your friends and Family. She would have also appreciated any efforts given to your local Meals-on-Wheels.

Thanks to all who participated in her journey!
