Roderick Louis Heiden, 79, of Rotonda West, FL passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at the Englewood Tidewell Hospice House. He was born on March 5, 1938 in Kalamazoo, MI to Louis J. and Faye E. (Pickett). Mr. Heiden has been a resident of Rotonda West, FL for 16 years and prior Sarasota, FL for 18 years. Roderick played trumpet for the Charlotte County Concert Band, he enjoyed playing golf, working on cars and was a real Jack of All Trades. He and his wife Pat taught country line dancing for many years. Survivors include his devoted wife of 57 years, Patricia Heiden; son’s; Greg (Cynthia) Heiden of Redmond, OR; Jeff Heiden of Rotonda West, FL. And three cousins; Judy Umin, Joanna Ramsey and Robert Gibson.
