AUSTIN G. EVANS
Austin Gilmour Evans, 86, of Englewood, FL formerly of Naples died Friday, October 16, 2009 at Port Charlotte Tidewell Hospice & Palliative Care.
He was born on September 26, 1923 in Crisfield, Maryland to the late Bruce and Edith (Snead) Evans. Austin served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II. He was the owner of Naples Liquors for many years prior to moving to Englewood in 2002.
Survivors include three daughters: Marsha Mason of Englewood, FL; Mary Ann Walters of Fort White, FL; Linda K. Villani of Naples, FL; one son: J. Bruce Evans of Naples, FL; one sister: Lois Messler of North Ft. Myers, FL; six grand children.
A memorial service will be held at the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 93 Station, 1099 9th Street So., Naples (next to the Cove Inn and Bay House Restaurant) on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 2 PM.
Englewood Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been selected to handle arrangements for cremation.
